In June 2020, gamer TheGrefg organized an event on Twitch with other content creators. The dynamic consisted of everyone reacting to a YouTube video, for which they used a service called Watch2Gether, which allows synchronized playback so that participants can watch a video at the same time.
During the broadcast, the link to the Watch2Gether room where the content creators had gathered to share the video was accidentally seen. One of the viewers on Twitch copied the URL, logged into Watch2Gether as if he was one of the event organizers and posted a sexually explicit video.
TheGrefg reacted quickly, stopped the stream and deleted the video. However, a few weeks later Twitch informed him that his account would be suspended for 24 hours. The gamer, who has more than seven million followers on that platform, complied with the decision. "I think that the biggest ones are the ones who should set an example," he said in the tweet in which he made the sanction public.
