In May 2021, Spanish youtuber Ibai Llanos uploaded a video entitled Si te ríes pierdes (If you laugh you lose), a dynamic that he had already done several times on his channel and which consists of paying followers to make him laugh with other videos on the Internet.
18 hours after it was posted, the video was taken down and the channel received a strikeand the channel was prevented from creating content for a week. One of the clips sent by its followers showed a child falling off a bicycle while being pushed by another, which the platform considered a violation of its child safety policy.
Ibai appealed and a few hours later YouTube proved him right: it removed the sanction and enabled the video. However, the ads were limited. The youtuber finally deleted the content, removed the fragments for which he had been punished in principle and republished it with the title "If I laugh they ban me from YouTube". 16 hours later, the platform imposed an age restriction, again affecting his monetization, since the content to which this measure is applied cannot be viewed by users under 18 years of age or by those who have not accessed their account. To date, the video continues with the restriction.
